Help...My car has gone rich

I have an '05 with the usual mods and alky running 27 PSI. I had a custom Dynoflash back in December. After the flash, the car was running great. Starting like maybe two weeks ago, I noticed when I go WOT in 4th, the car would stutter and hesitate and I could hear back firing from the exhaust. I had a compression test done and its fine. I also checked the plugs and they seem to also be fine. I also noticed alot of exhaust soot on the bumper and exhaust tip.

Could Al or someone offer any suggestions as to what can be wrong with my car? Thanks.

easy - change the spark plugs - they wont be able to fire 27 psi of boost forever

I just figure thats what's happening because of the black soot on the bumper and the exhaust tip. I was also told backfiring is because its rich. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I know I should have a wideband but haven't had a chance to get one yet.

Thanks for the quick reply Al. I'll replace the plugs tomorrow and hope that fixes it.

BPR7EIX...same as stock. I just changed them maybe two months ago. No I don't have an ignition amplifier. It was running fine up until two weeks ago. I don't get it.
