Alky kit maintenance?

Other than testing pressure periodically, what other maintenance should be done on the SMC alky kit? Do you need to clean the nozzle from time to time? Should the pump be changed periodically before it reaches the end of its life? How often?

Thanks.

Good Question but don't think so. I think testing it often will make sure its working properly.

I know that both SMC and alkycontrol have told me that they have some customers who replace the pumps annually. The price of replacing a pump was part of my consideration in picking a kit. As it turned out, the pumps for both kits cost about the same.

Should I be removing the nozzle from time to time and inspecting/cleaning, or is the only maintenance issue keeping on top of pump pressure? Where are the most likely failure points for the SMC kit?

Not to pawn this off on you EVO8LTW but maybe you should send an email or give Steve a call at SMC and ask him about maintenance. I thought his kits were warrantied . . . . . . thus not needing to replace the pump?!

From what is shown on EVOm I would say the largest failure point is probably the box . . . but V2 has clearly helped in that area . . . . I still can't wait for his fail safe option.
