More mail in Dynoflash-boost questions

I got a base mail in flash in summer. No mods except autometer boost guage. 93 octane always used

In the winter I then added a full megan catless TBE., KN drop in. I noticed my boost spiked up to 22 psi at WOT in the cold and seems to taper to ~18ish (obviously due to less back pressure and cold air)

Is the ECU/dynoflash going to cause me to run lean under these condtions? I thought that it would controll the boost and not allow it to go over a safe limit (which I believe to be 20.5 psi). I was assuming that cause the spike is at lower rpm, tapering off at higher rpm, the fuel pump will be able to handle it (assumption; for wot at lower rpm less fuel per sec required than high rpm)

The stock DP and cat are going on the car this weekend

AL can you please post when you will be at Dynoflash or Pruven during the daytime in the next week or so, so that I may get it reflashed to stock. I do not want to mail the ECU. Plus the wife wants to go shopping in CT/NY while you do your thing. I have pmed you to no response, but I know your are a top (busy) bloke

With the mods that you added you should upgrade your flash. A turboback and a air filter alter the boost and flow a whole lot.

I have no flash whatsoever and just a Buschur intake. I have seen my boost spike to 22 before in cold weather. I'm not so sure I'd blame the flash.

Most autometer boost gauges read slightly high - I have seen then up to 2 - 3 psi off

Best to check it against a known reference

The factory controlled boost will not go over actual 20 psi of boost in most cases unless there is a problem with the boost solinoid or lines

Cool, thanks AL. To be clear, I wasnt blaming the flash

I figured the guage may read a bit high.
