Before i got my tune yesterday i had little problem with boost creep. The car would push 21psi til 5.5 grand and then creep to 24 toward fuel cut. Well i asked around and since i did take every off from the ex mainfold to the 02 to get ported the answer had to be the wastegate. Well the day before tune we tighten it down a little too much which we should of tested and loosened. Well i should of tested it out but it was late and had too get going to SC. Today i loosened up the wastegate a tad. Now its boosting to 21 psi in every gear except 1st! 1st gear every time ends at 19 psi the others gears nail 21 and looks good. I tried the new launch control Al added works great along with a 1st gear roll and it still cuts at 19 psi. Any solutions?

 

Theres not enough load in first gear to attain full boost in most instances. Thats totally normal.

 

let me also mention in the others gears...my car goes to 10 psi and around 5-6 it then climbs to 21....took the car out again 5 mins ago...1st stoped at 10 psi...i am so confused

 

hmmm never noticed..lol ok maybe your right..

In first gear the HP overcomes the resistance and the car consumes more boost than it can generate and also your allready at 6k rpm before any decent pressure builds
