1000000000000000% of course!!!!1 You can't even begin to run alky without a FULL CUSTOM RETUNE. It acts as fuel and works by you adding a lot of timing, removing a ton of fuel, and raising the boost dramatically. You can't even get a mail-in flash for alky; that's how important tuning is for alky.

. I had mine connected for two days with spectacular results, I must admit the car was runing a bit rich but it was running great.

The tuning would enhance your performance and perhaps improve many other parameters, also it would allow you to safely increase boost.

Please don't use my experienece as a reference, I happene to ran my car with the alky before the tuning and I could not be more impressed, I really like it but I don't recommend runing it without tuning. Perhaps my previous tuning prior to the alky was soo good that it helped my performance instead or hurting it.

Each car is a different history. My car was very driveable with the alky and no tuning for two days but again, I wouldn't recommend it.

Carlos

Speaking of alcohol kits, what a bad a s s Steve from SMC is. I just got a set of M#10 and M#15 nozzles and Steve shipped them to me very very fast. The guy was also super knowledable when responding my questions.

By the way heads up that Steve told me that shortly we will have a failsafe on their SMC controller system. I am looking forward to see it.

Answering your question with my own experience, my AFRs went from 11.8 to 9.8 the moment I turned on the alky. This would completely choke my car and would not run well at all when the alky kicked in (high boost).

I wish I can help you on this one but I am not certain, perhaps Al would have my database.

One thing is for certain, I don't make things up, I was very very impressed with how the car ran after installing the alky kit without tune.
The guy that installed the alky kit on my car is Trevor ,a real veteran with alky kit which ran the alky on his Stealth R/T (10.9@133 in AZ) since 2000.

Again, sorry for not being any helpul on your request.

Did it run good after the tune????? Hahahahahaha, hell yeah, man, it was the nastiest thing I'd ever driven. I went from 307whp/280wtq to 341whp/361wtq with the alky (20-26psi and retune). It gives so much torque that you can barely hit the boost sometimes in public.
