You need the laptop in order to change the maps unless you can get the cable to connect from your car to your computer with a USB extension or something.

might be a dumb question i dont know, but my car isnt in working condition right now which means i cant drive it down to the shop to get a flash. Can i just bring my ecu down and you can do the flash that way. its kind of like sending it in the mail except its with me. let me know im trying to get a flash this weekend

 

Yes, indeed - people have done it several times. Just bring your ECU, and Al can flash it for your mods. You can also do the EcuFlash thing by getting the cable, the free software, and doing the flashes yourself from now on. Al can just email you the files - he can also give you multiple files when you show up...

Thanks Al for a great tune and great time. I've got a dyno appointment today so we'll see how it does. I need to get used to seeing the boost guage keep going past 22. Little scary but I'll get used to it. lol
And thanks for the run against the Lambo. I doubt I'll ever get that chance again.
