Flash for "regular" lancer?

Hey Al,

There was a thread started early 2005 which was inquiring about the potential of you doing re-flashes for regular lancers. Here's that link:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ghlight=lancer

The last update I see was that this was something you wanted to do, but needed an ECU in order to see if its do-able.

Is the regular lancer something you are still pursuing in regards to re-flashes?

The other options out there are limited and quite frankly are too expensive for the limited results. No sense in buying a piggyback unit for $450 when you could offer it less expensive, and likely do a much better job.

Just thought I'd toss it out there. I'd love to see you offer a flash for the regular lancer - your reputation is great for the Evo's and I know you would do a great job on the lancer if it was worth the time.

Thanks!
digdat

I highly doubt he is going to make any effort to flash non-turbo lancers.

Why would you say that? He said he was already looking into it. You are making it sound worthless to tune N/A cars...

pretty much, he's too busy with the turbo cars....... and the gains on ur n/a car would be insignificant, and i also highly doubt there are enough n/a guys to make it worth al's while.

Alright, kf6ytc has spoken (for himself and Al) and deemed tuning of N/A cars as insignificant...

I would really like to see if Al has read this and if he has any comments. A simple yes or no would be fine. There was consideration for the lancer in the past, is there still?

And yes, I understand the gains would be minimal, however I love my car and its fun to drive. If I could pep it up just a tad for the rate typically associated with Al's flashes, it would be more than worth it for me. I think a majority of the lancer community would also agree. There aren't many other alternatives for our car and where there is, its overly expensive. If Al doesn't have interest, I'm cool with that. With the not-so great other options, I figure it can't hurt to ask.
