Hey Al,

Last time you were in Denver, I stopped by to get a base flash (04 GSR), however, after connecting your laptop, for some reason you were unable to flash it. You said something about a dealer in the area reflashing the ECU with something (P0300 perhaps?), as my car was one of a few that you were unable to flash. If I stop by for this tuning session, would you be able to flash it this time?

thanks!

How much would I benefit from a base flash if my '06 IX MR is bone stock, right down to the stock boost gauge and paper air filter?

Also, if I move to sea level next year, would I have problems and need a new flash?

Even bone stock IXs can get HUGE gains from just a flash, even a base flash. It would be best to just pay $200 more for a full custom tune to ensure your car has the best possible tune, but even a base flash will give you a good 20-30whp with a much smoother powerband.

When you move to sea level, it would be a good idea to get a reflash for $100, though, but that's not a big deal or a lot of money.

SinisterEvo, the MBC is up to you. It will allow you to run a bit higher boost and hold it more effectively, but even without one, you'll make good power, since the flash removes most of the stock boost taper. There were 2 stock IXs in DC who got base flashes with just an MBC and both picked up around 40-50whp. That's a crapload for no exhaust or anything...

Guys, if you just get base flashes, you don't have to sign up, but be sure to show up during the scheduled tuning times. If you see an empty slot, Al may not be there, but if you see full slots, show up in between tuning slots, so he can take care of you in like 10mins.

Yes, he always has Forge MBCs in stock. I could install it for you or at least show you how to do it.

Which slots u got left?

Also, I ordered a Forge MBC from Al months ago. Because I was waiting for him to actually come to Denver, I didnt really worry about it. So if you can dig up in your invoices Al, I ordered sometime in Feb/Mar. Ive tried calling you a bunch, but havent been able to get a hold of you.
