i got a big problem.

hi al im not shore were to post this but i got some parts off you including my mbc. i have a porblem. could you help me?. ill do my best to discribe it to you. P.S. in no way is this a blaming al or bashing him. i just got the mbc from him and im having truble so im coming to him for some help.

ok i got the forge mbc about 5 mounths back. i already have a hks rs intake, nesei intercooler piping, hyperflow fmic, aps bov, hks c/t cat back. i also have a catch can, defi d boost gauge, hks tt type 1, innovate wideband. i only said every mod i have to be safe and clear.

now my car is untuned and i have had these mods on the car for 5 to 8 mounths. never had a prolbem car runs great i dont blow smoke and my afr's acording to the gauge they are in the low 11's under wot. now just last nite i took off my icp, intake, bov, fmic and mini battery kit so i can clean them and re polish the shiny stuff. i was going to a show. now today the car is togeather and im boosting over 27psi. i never tuched the mbc. i set it at 20 psi and it never spiked and held very well. but now it is jumping to 27+psi. i dont know if it is a spike or what. im afraed to hold it under wot to find out. the car bucks really bad when it does it. it does it in every gear MOST of the time.

i got to the show and took the mbc out. i did not have tools to take it apart so i turned it all the way down and then up and then down again. seems fine when turning it. i have the big spring inside of it. i had it at 20 clicks witch was 20psi in 3rd gear. when i put it back in i set it to 17 clicks. car boosted to 18psi and was fine for an hour or so. i did not tuch it since. but now it is doing it again. boosting really high. so i came home and now im asking for some help. i hope i did not confuse you. i just tryed not to leave nothing out. what do you think my problem is??. thanks so much for the help.

Read the threads Doogie referenced - it's explained in great detail.

also, why don't you get tuned? You're probably slowly killing your car with all those mods and no tune.

well i took it apart. the ball thing is stuck in the bottum of the mbc. you know where the lines run to. the ball is all the way inside and stuck. by banging it it wont come out. should it be loose or stuck. i remember my cat almost swallowed it when i got it cause i was changing the spring and it fell out. so im gessing this could be it???

just a conferm on this would be great be4 i pop it out.

ok guys. im good to go. im just going to update this for others in case they see it and have the same problem.

to clean the mbc you will need soap and water or windex or rubbing alcohol. use q tips and cleen it till the q tips stay white when you try to cleen it more. i then used my air cumpresser to dry it out.

to grease it use fully synthetic bearing grease. or mobil 1 full syn grease it is the red stuff. lightly coat the ball and drop it in. put it togeather and go boost happly ever after.

hope i become of help to someone. thanks guys for your help as well.
