Thanks for the EFlash Al!

Recv'd my EFlash last night.

I used EcuFlash to flash my car with no problems.

I was able to put the car through its paces today and was extremely pleased with the results.

The car runs much smoother. Power delivery is alot better. The midrange power has definitely increased as felt by the butt dyno. The car pulls much harder now towards redline.

All in all I'm very pleased with the map that Al gave me. Gotta be the best $50 spent on my car.

Thanks Al!

It took a little over a week to get my map.

You have to understand that since EcuFlash came out everyone and their mother wants to get a flash.

It might not be rocket science, but it does take time to make these maps. I'd rather him take a little time than put something out that will grenade our cars.

Regardless, it is well worth the $50. Other vendors are charging four times that for mail-in flashes. There's no downtime with this method.

did you have to fine tune it any or did you use it as is? i don't feel real comfy tuning timing, fuel is fine, just not timing, so i was planning on using as is and maybe fine tuning the fuel eventually with a wideband.

Not doing any tuning myself at this time.

I'm getting cams put in next month with a custom tune by Al when he comes here.

I just wanted something now for the mods I currently have. The maps can use some minor tweaking, but are great as is. He makes these maps ultra conservative so there is some room for minor improvement.

All in all it's a great mod for the money.

It should be a night and day difference on a stock IX, but some people's butt dyno's are more sensitive than others'...

There are tons of guys that have gotten flashes on their IX's and have definitely felt and improvement.

What kind of mods do you currently have?

ps - I have one of the most sensitive/high tech butt dyno's around...

I did the e flash was happy with it but didnt feel too much diff at all but Evos seem to be that way, if I took my stock 8 to the track and ran it with the flash and with 91 oct there would probably be an improvement.

When did you go through?

I have no idea what class they're on now. One of the guys that went through with me is now an instructor there.

You wouldn't happen to know Shea would you?

How about Zanski?

With these eFlashes, can other tuners fine tune the maps?
