Need Help please
I have an 06 Evo IX MR
Current mods are:
HKS RS intake
HKS 3" hi-power cat back
Ult. Racing 3" hi-flow cat
Apexi GT 3" downpipe
TurboSmart [dual port] BOV
------------------------------
I want to get a DynoFlash,
and I need to know if I need to get anything else before I get reflashed.
I've been told I should get a new a Fuel pump and a Forge MBC.
Is this right? or can i just go with a new fuel pump.
Or do I need the MBC also?
Thanks, Im new to this forum and need help ASAP.
I really want the reflash, but MBC seems like a PITA to install.
Any help will be greatly appreciated....

tune
yeah man you def. need a fuel pump. Al has had a million burn out on him during custom tunes. As far as the mbc. I recomend the hallman rx. I dont know anything about cars and it was really easy to hook up. I just found the how to on the forum and it was step by step. When you set your boost with the mbc. The boost wont taper as much at redline as the stock silinoid. But its a bit of a hassle to get out and pop the hood to adjust it when you tune it. So I would get the cockpit adapter. Let me Know.

Without the MBC the ecu can be adjusted to control boost to 21 psi
MBC is optional but suggested
However - I like the MBC as you can have specific adjustment for varying conditions
The pump is 100% required

How hard is it to get the fuel pump out?
Have any problems with getting stock pump out.
My brother had a major problem getting his out on his eclipse.
I read the how-to on it, here in the section. seems easy enough.
But he ended up breaking off one of the bolts on his, and I don't wanna do that, so..
Just wondering..
*OOPS, sorry about 12 second avatar, shoulda been 13 sec. one..
copy/pasted wrong one.*

defintely get both. Even if you don't boost more than 21psi now....you probably will want to later on so get it now and that way when you do decide to boost more, it will already be set up for you
Al has great tunes and has tuned many evo's with the same mods as you and those cars are just mosters. Al does a great job.

Got ECU back and installed Walbro fuel pump.
That retaining ring on the pump is a "REAL" PITA to get out.
but I got it finally, and only took about 30-45 minutes to do.
So , all is well, so far..
Spilled very little gas in car, so I'm waiting for fumes to disipate before I reconnect battery and start car.
Wish me luck, "plz start, and throw no codes." lol
let ya know how it goes after a few days.
