Hondata RSX N/A

Just for kicks

A fairly amazing motor and a fairly amazing ecu - Hondata K Pro - I loved tuning it although man it takes a long time to sort out 12 sets of fuel and timing maps (the result was worth it)

This car had cams - intake and exhaust - no turbo

Light and fast and shifted great

I used to have one of the first Jackson Racing Supercharged RSX-S it was a blast to drive execpt for the wheel spin. I also helped my buddy build his cybernation Turbo RSX-S with built motor. That thing was a beast about 400hp. Now i can drive around my girls base auto RSX with sport shift.....I like my EVO

the base rsx motors are crap only the type s has the better cams and head. The type r cams is even better if u want to swap it. Even the k24 is better then the base rsx

the k24 has a horrbile head... you need to swap on the k20 head from either the typer or the types for the k24 to be worth anything top end

not quite. The K24 out of the TSX has a true VTEC head like the RSX-S. The K24 in the Accord/CRV/Element is the one that gets the sissy economy version of VTEC similar to the last gen Civic Si and base RSX.

Good results...I had Kpro on my EP3 Civic Si - very intuitive and easy to use. And the sounds those motors make at 8000+ revs

Its really because the ECU's haven't changed much over the years, and they have been rewriting the code for a long time. I'm sure after the entire rom is understood, that the Evo ECU will start getting "Rewritten" and offer the type of adjustability that we see in the K-Pro, Its inevitable...

I am actually looking at putting a Hondata S300 in my old civic just to get some more time on their products.
