Dyno Flash Evo 8 - 9 Sec License - Part #2
Thanks to the great employees at Raceway Park - super great experience tonight
After blowing the freeze out plug on Wed night - I came back tonight to continue my progress
Got all the slow runs - they call them "MODERATE" runs - (4 of them total) out of the way at 29 psi of boost - BTW I cant run that car moderate - I spaz out every time and its just not natural
I did get one interesting moderate run - with a 2.1 60' and it went 10-8 in the 1/8th and 11.33 after slaming on the breaks at the 1,000 ft mark !
Then onto my first full bore 9 second attempt on my new set up (74 mm Gt42 - last year 70 mm)
I turned up the boost and MAN that car took off like a missle
Sadly, my prediction on the front transfer case death whine was correct and the transfer case exploded like a bomb as soon as the boost hit in 2nd gear
I am super pleased that apparently the freeze out plug issue is resolved and the tuning / miss fire issues I had back in Oct are all worked out - the car is smooth
I am going to try and cobble together some broken bits I have laying around the garage and get out next wed to continue to my final two passes (9 secs0 to get my license
Funny side story - I took a pass in a Gt Mustang 5.0 - 2007 - that some 17 year old could noty drive as he was too young - he wanted me to race his car to see how fast it could go - as fate would have it I lined up against another built evo with a gt35r kit - and it seems that guy's transfer case also exploded on that pass
(the mustang Gt went 13.7 @ 100)
It seems that
will be able to survive just selling evo transfer cases - those suckers are a rip off !

Looking forward to the videos Al.
I'm somewhat disappointed with the mustang. Granted 13's isn't real slow for what I assume to be a stock vehicle, but I've heard so many people say the new ones are pretty quick. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the mustangs 4.6L, not 5.0?
At least when you get the transfer case back from Shep, it should be all but bomb proof.

hahaha.. his battery ran out..! Al and his videos.. but yo considering Al drove the car and I suppose he knows how to drive then a 13.7 out of a mustang 07 is avg. lolz.
Good luck with the T-Case and you should have extra batteries with you.. to avoid not broadcasting your adventures..

I treed you like a lumberjack !!!!!!!!!!!!! (That mustang is a turd)
Next time we go evo to evo - (we can see who breaks the least parts) HA
I think 06 MR let that mustang catch the tree to give him some sign of hope; although all the hope was lost when the hoosiers stopped spinning. hahah, i can't wait to see the evo vs. evo on wed! Keep that freeze out plug in the block AL...track officials frown upon slicking down the track with fluids
