Buschur flash lean AFR

It's a buschur flash and i did send them an email, but because you do their flashes i figured i would ask you Al as well:

I have a Warrtalon package on my car (03 viii) plus hks 272 cams with Buschur flash (i got a reflash from you after installing cams) and i was looking at my afr's and was wondering what the target for those is. I dont log yet, but i got zeitronix wideband with the display and when i'm doing 3rd gear or 4th gear pulls i'm seeing 12.1 to 12.5 all the way to redline after the car has warmed-up (when the car's still cold, couple of minutes after i start it the afr's are around 11.5 for same pulls, where i think they are supposed to be) The ambient temperature is 45F. So i guess the question is what my afr's should be with this flash and am i running too lean? And could it be because of the reflash for cams?

Thanks

Id check your wb gauge. My friend got tuned, got a WB and siad he was running 12.5 to redline. He was scared ****less, so we went to a local dyno, turns out he was running 11.8, his WB was incorrect. We confirmed this by running ANOTHER wb!

Assuming your wide band is accurate - that is too lean

Please send me your ecu with a log or data for your pulls and I will adjust it free of charge

PS - those tunes are very close usually - check your fuel pump install and verify that the pump is fully seated in the upper housing

92 octane, the one i'm tuned for...

WB is zeitronix with bosch sensor... i hope it's accurate...but i guess maybe it isnt, but then why do they sell those??? what would be the point of people buying wb's if they were inaccurate....

I'll do logs when i get a laptop, so that might take a couple of days... about adjustment - i'm getting tactrix in a couple of days, can i email you the logs and have you email me adjusted flash? or is it not possible?

Thanks

that is what he is saying. pull your map out of your ecu and send it to him with a 3rd gear log and 4th gear log starting it around 2500rpm's in bouth gears to redline.

then he will make the ajustments if need be and send it back to you. then you redownlaod it to your ecu and log it again to make sure everything looks good.

yes he can email it (the rom) or ship the ecu - either way - the adjustments as needed are free

Thanks

Here's a 3rd gear pull int txt and excel file in zip.
Looks extra lean, and i'm pretty sure the WB is accurate judging by the amount of knock and pulled timing. Let me know what you think.

I havent been able to pull the ROM with ecuflash yet for some reason...maybe because of the low temps around here that lead to lower battery voltage... i dunno...but i'll send you my rom as soon as i manage to extract it.

Try using the active matrix unlocker

Is there a way of doing a free air calibration with the WB gauge?

I had an Innovate WB gauge on my 03 Cobra. It would get a little off from time to time so I had to do a free air calibration. Where you would let the car sit overnight to be sure that all of the exhaust gases were out of the piping. Then you hold a reset button on the gauge. Then it resets based on the clean air in the exhaust.

i'll check into that, but as i mentioned i get knock - up to 14 KC, so something is wrong wether WB it is accurate or not. It may well not be the flash, maybe its my fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump... i checked the latter two, they seemed fine, so i'm just waiting on Al to check my logs and the rom and see whether he can tweak it so that it all becomes better.
