Br Road Racing Evo 8 Set up - 24 psi - 500 whp

This car came out really good. We picked up an additional 50 whp and TQ by switching to an AEM - big thanks to David Buschur for not only making most of the great parts on this car but also for helping us to tune it in such an amazing fashion.

This car seems time attack 30 minute sessions so the boost was left low - 24 psi max

But the TQ curve is nice and broad and flat - and the peak power is right at 8,000 rpms

A great car - idles and drives as stock

probably about 50 whp less, at least.

The Shop's DD dynoes like a dynojet.

I heard its closer to 100whp difference at that level...in other words ....this car will be making "around" 400whp on BRs mustang...thats not weak at all by the way...thats if the DD is close to a Dyno jet according to you and others.

At 24 psi, probably. If he road races, I doubt it was with alcky. And it would have been boosting way higher on race fuel.

Not necessarily true. My car dynoed 40whp and 55tq less on The Shop's DD dyno than it's original tune on Pruven's dynojet. Same car, same parts, similar weather.

Pruven's dynojet is another interesting dyno......most people concur that it reads rather high...

This green made 470ftlbs of tq, somebody made 512 on pruven's dynojet with a IX turbo.......

nice to know that Al, had to get a real tuner for the car.

The best way to find out how much power it would make on the BR dyno would be to ask David what kind of power he makes with the same set up as he has no doubt tuned dozens like this one

Th car runs C16 and was at 23 - 24 psi max as it is a time attack race car and needs to hold together for hard 30 min sessions

The complete ignorance of your assertion is aparent

I did not HAVE to solict master David Bushur's input

I chose to do it as

#1 - David Buschur is the best AEM tuner I know and has more experience tuning them than I have as he tunes AEM every day and I primarily focus on reflash

#2 - The car was 90% Buschur parts so it would be foolish not to ask for David's input

#3 - David is my friend and also mentor in the tuning field, he has tought me a lot of things over the years so why would i not seek his input ? It will only expand my horizons and help me grow as a tuner.

There are too many toxic neagtive backwards thinking people on thso forum

Al

Is this number with the Dynojet (12%) correction? When I was there it made 450whp at 24psi and I put down 433whp at 25psi right after it.

It went up to 500 whp at 8,000 after the additional tweaking and tuning with the same correction factor

Remember he has the very agressive BR cams which work well in high rpms
