What do you guys think?
Ive been a customer for Al the last 3 times hes come to my area. This last time hes come here, i signed up for his custom tune and sent him the money for the tune. A day before the tune, my head gasket blew. I told him on the tuning day what had happened and that i was going to fix it on the same day. He said he would tune my car the next day, just give him a call. I worked on the car the whole night and got it set and running the next day. I called him about 4 times and he did not pick up his phone. Ever since then i have been messaging him and calling him about money, which i would appreciate if i got back in order to buy parts for my car but i havent got one answer or response. I feel like im bothering him by now but wouldnt you like your money back if your investing it into parts for your car. What do you guys think?
I have already answered your inquiry. I don't want to keep having the same dialouge over and over.
There is no refund on custom tuning appointment depoists - especially when you cancel the day of.
It was regretful that you did not make your tuning appointment due to a mechanical failure.
I traveled to Chicago and paid P & L for the use of the dyno
On this trip - I just about broke even on the trip after all expenses - your $100 deposit just about covers your per rata share of just my air fare to get there
While you claim to have called me on Sunday the day I was relaxing in Chicago (and when I was willing to give you a road tune) I did not recieve any voice mails either on my cell phone or at my motel. I think its fairly obvious that I am here to earn a living and I would have been overjoyed to have had the additional business on Sunday to road tune your car. This especially since my flight out was not until late in the evening.
In conclusion - you paid $100 depoist to get on the dyno and get tuned. Not only did I loose out on a chance to tune someone else for the spot you canceled on but also P & L lost out on a dyno rental fee. While I can appreciate your frustration, I try and be fair to every one. I feel that most of my customers who cancel a tuning session the next day would understand that the $100 is non refundable.
I sincerely hope that the $100 you lost by failing to attend your dyno session is not hindering further and additional investment in your car.
IF that last chicago trip had been more lucrative - I may have made an expection based upon your past business, however, as I have explained the business on that trip was just enough to cover the costs and your deposit was applied to expenses.
In most cases, I resolve these kind of situations by offering the customer a credit or discount on a future tuning appointment.
