IX questions

I may be buying a Stock IX with 7500miles.

- how much hp / tq would I see with a mail in Dynoflash? If stock is 13.2@102mph what is it roughly with dynoflash?

Can the dealership detect the Dynoflash and void part of the warranty (i remember on the 2003 Evo's they couldn't detect it).

Does the IX dynoflash raise the boost?

sorry for all the questions - I sold my '03 VIII about 18 months ago so I haven't been following along.

Thanks!

mail ins are alright but you would def be better off with a street or dyno tune specific to your vehicle

Mail in dynoflashs are all different. Check out http://www.vishnutuning.com/evo.htm They have a really good mail in that Im still thinking of getting for my IX. The stock ECU reflash puts you with 380 flywheel HP, and your 0-60 is 3.9, 1/4 mile is 12.3 at 112mph. And with this reflash they give you a Passive Boost Solenoid Emulator that keeps your boost from fluctuating. Because the IX's tend to go to 15 back to 19 or up to 20, and this eliminates it and keeps it at 19psi. And they also told me that it can give you 1-2 extra MPG. yaa lol. But Im not to sure the dealership can detect it or not. Hope that helps out some.

My mail in reflash is $199 shipped

I customize it to match the specific mods, fuel and geographic location of the customer

I get them all out by Fed Ex standard overnight delivery (price included) the same day I get them in

I doubt you can get 12.3's. My average with exhaust mods and Al's flash is 12.8's. I hit 12.5's with race gas and boost at 24 psi.

I had 1.77 sixty's...

On Al's mail in and new clutch i hit 12.2 my first run out this year with my best at 12.1 with a 1.57 60foot. Not bad for a mail in and a little 110!
