Dynoflash and ICS -- A Team of Excellence
This post of praise for Dynoflash and ICS Performance comes at the end of long series of dyno/road trials and tuning as well as custom hardware modification and install. A brief history is in order—just the highlights:

- Jun 07 Dynoflash tune – 3” TBE
- Jul 07 Dynoflash tune – ICS install Cams, custom ICS O2 housing w/dump tube, swift springs, alignment
- Aug 07 Dynoflash tune – ICS install Aquamist 100% meth, full Defi console and pillar gauge package
- Nov 07 Dynoflash tune – corrective work w/ICS custom UICP fitted for Forge Adj DV
I can’t post all of the power increases at each stage as I don’t have all the dyno sheets but the end result of this work yielded 390whp at 25/26 psi. The car is not only very drivable, the rapidity of the spool time puts me in 3 digits in mere seconds. If I get the dyno sheet from the last run, I’ll post it here.
While this is not a technical review of the mods/work, I want to point out that this success was due to planned stages to increase power and the expert consultation of Al and George of the Dynoflash/ICS Performance team.
Although I won’t be driving for the next 6 months or so, next will more than likely be the Cobb AP—mostly because the advantages offered through Cobb technology seems a step in the right direction for tuning.

Not sure what you mean by your response. Nonetheless, outside of the cost of the parts, the tuning and install work was, at times, done free of charge or at a discount--given the frequency w/which my car was worked on. But, despite such generosity, there was certainly a significant cost involved...and I gladly compensated Al and George for their work--all worth it to me.
Beyond the concern your note makes of the expense, my patience as well as this work has been ongoing for more than a year...my bad if you intend the irony.
But you're correct, this has been costly...as much in dollars and cents as in time and effort.
Think I'm following...why didn't I purchase everything all at once, then have Al tune one time? Don't have any better answer than what is implied in my post, namely, staged upgrades. I'm no expert, so it was important to me to see what kind of performance coincided with each step toward this last tune--which was free, BTW.

There are many reasons for this
Often at first the customer may plan a simple Stage 1 of just a reflash alone
Often as a customer gets used to the car and power level they begin to do research on the forums and want to do additional modifcations to get more power
Other times a customer may not be able to afford to do everything at one step and speads out the cost
Speaking for myself, I am still modfiying my Evo and STI and its a continual process - heck i have been through 9 seperate turbos on my Evo
Oddly, out of the many thousands of customers I have tuned, very few collect a huge collection of parts and do the modification in one shot. There have been a few but they are the expection.

I have question on tunes. Al, do you keep the safety map stock or match it with the first map? I don't mean to be an *** but some tuners here do that and I am afraid that they might not be that good.
On some very highly modified cars and with cars I tuned several years ago with the Tech Tom equipment some of those have the maps fixed the same
