Updates from '09 Summer Slam at Raceway Park
This is my 9th year I'm a row attending this event and my 7th with my Evo
Due to huge work loads and customer duties, this is the first outing with the Dyno Flash Evo since Oct of '08 when I grenaded my rear diff on the line at the same track
With no testing, seat time or base line to work from my expectations are very limited. If the car gets down the track clean and runs a high 9 I will be pleased.
It's 11 am and Lego and I are stuck in weekend shore traffic on our way to the track.
Hopefully, I will have a chance to meet many of my fellow Evo owners and beat down some hondas.
More updates to come

1:45. We made it through tech.
Now we wait for the first round of heads up qualifier at 4:00. It's good to be here and represent our sponsors
Buschur Racing
Ics
Super tech valves
Headway performance
Tein coil overs
Shep trans
Exedy clutch
Drive Shaft Shop
Gsc motorsports
Without the support of it would not be possible to be here
Also big props to our military serving in harms way to defend our freedom
A couple of Evos are here, including a really nice gt42 Evo 5 on alcohol which has need of a shep trans as he can't shift into 4 th gear a best time of 10.80. Also a nice Evo XMR is here running - hope to see some runs from him.
More later

5:45. Rain delay
On the first pass I ran a easy test run rolling out a high 1.9 60'. It went 10.40 @ 146 with low boost. This was my first time down the track in 8 months so I am a bit rusty.
I am hoping for the track to dry so I can get a second run, turn up the boost and try and touch 9's today.
Turbo trix is now here so there are some fast evos representing here.

Hopefully after the success with today's easy launch I will have more confidence to go for a good 60 ' time

8:50 am. Moving to the 9.0 index class as the bump in q16 is already in the 8's.
I should have brought some DOT tires and run Power Street
In any event - hoping for a 9 second pass on the next run when I run next.

first pass today we were just tring to dial in the tune and get used to the new set up. Since we had no track base line we were watching boost and a/f. Today we turned the boost back up to normal levels and the a/f was overly rich at 11/1 or richer. Seeing this I lifted at the 1,000 ' mark and still ran a 10.10 @ 130. LOL
After some fueling adjustments in the pits I headed out to test lanes for the call to the 1st round and heard a clicking sound from the rear diff which indicates the used unit I replaced after October's fiasco was not that roubust. Erring on the side of caution I elected to call it a day and become a spectator.
It was great to see so many customers, friends and fellow racers at the track this weekend.
