Those of us with SAFC's and no reasonable means of a dyno need a baseline setting after the flash. Is this going to be asking too much. I'm sure there is somewhat of a percentage ratio relative to RPM that will be different with the flash, so I don't think it will be too bad. I could be wrong. Let me know that this is not a problem. Thanks.

I just sent in payment for my flash, and was curious if it included the code to eliminate the top speed limiter as well?

The Evo is redline limited for top speed, there isn't a "speed limiter" By increasing the rev limit to 7800 your capable top speed is also increased

The EVO does have a fuel cut type rev limiter set at 7400 rpm's (factory). Top speed is limited to gearing and where fuel cut is at.

Hmmm.. Then my misunderstanding. Here's the reasoning..

From http://www.sirmilton.com/dynoflash/stagerev_evo.shtml

Mail-in ECU revlimit increse
Raise the rev limit over stock to any RPM you require up to 10,000rpm
Eliminate top speed limiter
Raise high boost fuel cut
Eliminate boost taper - keeps boost from falling off
$79.99 plus shipping and handling

Wow my bad, I did not know that the EVO had a top speed limiter.

On some cars BMW and Mercedes for instance, there is a top speed limiter (usually set at 155 mph from factory). This is different than the engine rev limiter. I have a customer that owns a M5 in which he had is top speed limiter turned off with modified chips. His top speed is now only limited to how high his fuel cut is (engine) and gearing.

Maybe it is written in the mind set that if you increase engine fuel cut you would in theory be able to have a slightly higher top speed in top gear. Sorry the misunderstanding...
