Al, can you run 94 or 95 octane on the 93 octane flash without problems. I found out we do have this at a few select pumps.

Bottom line: would it run faster under its programmed octane or better with a higher octane (not just optimally)?

The ecu will advance the timing slightly after it sees you are running clear of any detonation - we have several exmples where we picked up significant power on evos just by adding race fuel on the dyno

 

I don't know what al is going to say, but I run on 91 flash and I mix in race gas w/my 91 and usually have about 93-94 octane. I have no prob,can't really tell if hp improve, and I run alot smoother with mix.

 

Thanks, just wanted to make sure I could go to the higher octane if was time to fill up the tank and it was available.

 

i just moved to cali and i use 91 octane. i am going to start mixing soon, 100 3 gls with 91 10 to 11 gls what do you guys think any power gain here?

 

Definitley, It'll feel smoother and stronger. Don't care what anyone says, experience has proven this. Know way you can extract best HP from 91 octane. Evos love octane!!
