I wish we had someone like this locally as I drop my car off on Monday for a new clutch, the labor is $560, and I need to leave it with them all day and I'll need to rent a car for the day (I'm self-employed so I would lose even more money if I took the day off). Being as poor as I am this meant that I couldn't get the clutch I wanted and had to settle for a lesser unit. I envy you guys.

Gil is the MAN. I previously paid 1K to a stealership for changing out my clutch because I only had 3K miles on my previously bone stock evo when the clutch went bad, and the serv manager had said it would be under warranty only to find out 3 weeks later that they couldnt do it.
When I have to do it again, Gil is definitely working on my car. And anyone and everyone that can get to him(unless he flies to you) should definitely let him work on your car.
Ken

sorry ken I just had to say it...
BACK TO TOPIC.....
Gil does know his Evo and has worked on mine a few times and gonna work on it a few more times when I have more parts
Yeah Gil is the man! Back around Christmas I was helping my tech friend at the dealership put my clutch in and we ran into a road block, I pm'ed Gill with my phone number and he called me back in 10 minutes with solution that saved us quite a bit of time and effort and said to call if we had any other questions what so ever.
I want to personally thank everyone that has said anything positive about my work and myself
I truly enjoy helping out fellow Evo owners with anything possible. I just wish I could own my own shop and make it even easier for anyone needing any work done. As some of you already know that I have to respect my workplace and therefore my schedule is limited for work, but I always try and help out whenever I can.
I used to be on the other side of cars when I would pay someone else to do work on my vehicles, therefore I try and be as considerate as I can when I charge, but I also can't forget that I have to pay for some VERY expensive tools and equipment
Thanks everybody
and thanks to AL for taking the time to mention my work

Yo Board Memberz,
For us "non-Eastern-Coast" peoples...perhaps we could ask Gil (SuperZ) to give us a step-by-step breakdown (with good hi-res pics, and diagrams if necessary) of a clutch job on the EVO? For that matter I'd be willing to put up ~$5 (Paypal of course) to Gil to do the documentation on an EVO clutch changeout. Anybody else want to chip in?
Personally I (as do a few others here) expect a clutch toasting to occur in the EVO any day now, and I would like the EVO to be back on its feet ASAP.
I've seen some "before-n-after" pics of a clutch job, and they help, but its nothing like what I find in the tech. section from www.evomoto.com.
Also...would this website and board consider putting up an official "Tips-n-Tricks" section that gives links or websites to the "best-of-the-best" DIY EVO / Lancer stuff? I know we have a 'forum' but a compilation of the best things is a real plus.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Later,
jcnel.

Its NOTHING he can post on the internet
Its like asking Shaq to post up how to shoot hoops - or Steve Wonder how to sing
Its just a question of a gift he has in mechanical work
I watched almost the entire job and it still would take me at least 15 hours to do this job humping it on my garage floor
