big thanks to Suprz - Gill - world's fastest mechanic !

Hey guys - I was in a big time jam this week after I took Willie - SQC for a test drive in my car and popped the throw out bearing off the clutch again

I had a race comming up this weekend at Englishtown and no way I could do my own clutch job in time

It takes me over 10 hours and a lot of back breaking effort to do the clutch and I just did not have the time to do it this week

Every shop I was turning to was booked up till next week

I remember hearing of a guy who was supposed to be very good and very quick at doing these and who helped out my brother evo crew members Gerard, Kenny and Terry - certainly a tough on clutch gang for sure ! I tracked the guy down from my pals.

The guy is Gill - superz - on the board came through for me in a jam and did it for me the same day

This guy is so quick - he does the clutch job like an oil change

It was amazing to watch him in action - he is a study in movement and effciency of operation

I liken him to the WRC rally mecahnics or NASCAR pit crews

He did my cutch job in just over 2.5 hours and my job is seriously complicated by some of the modifications that I have

Everything came out 100% and he was very professional

Gill is a true evo hobbiest who drives his evo every day and who works very hard and did this for me at the end of a long day of working on cars - so big thanks for helping out a brother evo owner in a jam

If you guys ever want to see something really amazing - go watch Gill do the clutch in 2 1/2 hours

Thanks again Gill ! I appreciate you taking the time to help me out in a jam !

Its almost to the point were its like a fast lube oil change - most of those guys told me they dropped it off went for a stroll and like 2 hours later they got a call to come pick it up

For me the coolest part was thet no corners were cut - he used locktight were needed and a trq wrech and he has some of the best tools of any mechanic I have seen - he has all snap on and a very large extension

best part is that he is obviously a evo nut like ourselves who drives the evo every day

You're very welcome Al The funny thing is that once I noticed the different configurations on your car I said to myself that this would be the one that would be the *****. Luckily everything worked out and I was very happy with the end result. I thank those that send me such good compliments, it makes my day Like Al said, I don't cut any corners with the job, every fastener needing proper torque will get that extra time. It just so happens to be that after doing quite a few clutches I got to learn all the shortcuts that will speed up the job.

Any Evo members are more than welcome to contact me (PM me) on just about any work needed on their Evos, including clutches, cams, suspensions, etc.. I once again want to thank Al for mentioning me in his forums. This was the first time I actually got to talk with him personally and I was very pleased with his proffesionalism. I beleive we both respect eachothers talents when it comes to the EVO.

I can see it now. We're gonna have a superz clutch weekend schedule starting. He's gonna follow Al around the country and the following weekend put clutches in for everyone. Just think, Al, he can do a clutch job faster than you do a street tune.

This weekend Coldwater, MI Tuckey Motorsports I'm first on the list!!

Just paypal superz the cash

Hey, Gil. How about I buy you a plane ticket to Vegas to change my clutch Everyone here makes a big deal about it; 12 hours and over $1,000 labor. I baby the hell out of my stocker because I'm unsure who will do it for me when the time comes.

No that is marketing! He hooks up with all the big boys that do their tours and follows the week after to fix the clutches.

The best part of Gill is the way he turns what would otherwise be a huge ordeal to a simple two hour while you wait procedure

Personally - I am very nervous about leaving my car anywhere for days to get something fixed

The fact that he can do this so quickly while you stand there and watch is a huge benefit

Also - his facility is vastly superior to most independent garages as far as the aray of equipment used and the quality of equipment

The fact that he does it at such an "attractive" price is just icing on the cake

I had a client who paid a stelaership 10 hours at full shop rate to do a clutch two weeks ago - its just criminal

Haha, I couldn't let that comment fly .

I wish we had someone like this locally as I drop my car off on Monday for a new clutch, the labor is $560, and I need to leave it with them all day and I'll need to rent a car for the day (I'm self-employed so I would lose even more money if I took the day off). Being as poor as I am this meant that I couldn't get the clutch I wanted and had to settle for a lesser unit. I envy you guys.
