This is what happened to the #8 Evo:

What can you say but - what a great guy and what bad luck - it sucks it had to happen.

I was thinking to start a fund to get this guy a new evo - he sure needs a new evo - I am going to talk to him about this next week and maybe some of you guys can give some feed back here. Think about it for a bit - if we all could picth in a few $ each - like $50 per guy its very painless for us and we can get hium a evo to replace the one that got crashed?? Just a thought

Yeah, why not donate 50$ from each of the custom tuned Dynoflashes you do for the next month to help this guy get a new Evo? We've got to help each other out!

I was thinking of some promotion to support him also. The main thing is if we get broad based member support we can easily raise some funds to get him another evo - even if its a used one.

On Monday i will contact him and see what he thinks and what his plans are

Helping each other out when the **** hits the fan is what it's all about It sucks that #8 was totalled... especially when they were doing well in T3. In the end, the most important thing is they all walked away ok. I've seen to many people get hurt at the track.

BTW, is it just me or is anyone else addicted to the diaries from these events? I think I live through them to some extent

I agree - thank god that every one was OK

Cars can be easily replaced

I think that derek's diary and web site were first class

I get a lot of guys asking me about sponsorships all the time - its very few if ANY who come through with a professional and amazing result like # 8

# 8 has inspired me

I've been reading them at the end of the days. I think it's definitely worse when you know some of the competitors and have helped some to get them prepared. It's kind of frustrating to not be there and know how they're doing immediately.

BTW - just got the good news

The Buschur Flash car of Robi finished the race . . . .

AND TOOK 1st place in its class

Way to go Robi and crew !!!!!!!

Those M3's - s2000 and 944's all got thier asses kicked big time

Not bad for a under $4,000 bolt on Bushur kit with a reflash

A after thought - maybe we can get to help this guy - obviously he is a very talented racer and was making a very strong showing

Since they are giving evos away to tuners - I nominate # 8

God bless you, Al! You truly are a giving and caring person for deciding to give so much to Derek in his time of need. You inspire me with your generous ways and the way you truly care for your fellow Evo driver.

It's times like this that makes me proud to be part of this community that we call EvoM.net.
