I was wondering I got my street tune done on December 6. Now I have been really debating getting Cams and Cam gears. If I purchased and installed the HKS 272 I/E cams will my car run properly or will it run like crap and possibly blow my motor. I dont have the time to send you my ecu for another flash because I am a student and the EVO is my daily driver. Al will the only thing to happen out of installing cams and not getting my ecu reflashed is I wont get optimal power delivery as it isnt being retuned?

You have a full custom street tune so you get free upgrades

Juist send in the ecu the day they insall the cams and it will go back the same day

OR - better still arrange a tuning trip for me to south florida and get a custom retune there for $350

I do NOT recomend running the cams with your current reflash - it wont blow anything but it wont be right

 

I am hoping the Tampa crew works something out for you to come down I believe they have 3 people already for you to come down so i will keep monitering that post! Just out of curiosity how would my car run? Sluggish?

I am sure you can be without your car for the two days to send up the ex and to get it fed ex'd back

 

hey al, i have a custom tune, so if i get cams and i send in my ecu, will it basically ruin my custom flash, and that i should've just gone with the mail in from the first place???

 

No becuase in those cases I use your custom tune as a base to add the cam changes and also because you get the upgrades for free now and also a reduced rate on future custom tunes

 

Hey Al, I sent you my ecu for the mail-in flash not long ago, and looking to do my hks 272's like later on today. How will the car run until i send my ecu back out to you?? It's not really going to be driven until my ecu sees you so i'm just wondering maybe just the weekend it might get driven a little bit.

And after your reflash what all is going to change??
