Al,

I would be interested in getting reflashed with the mail-in at AMS if you came. You flashed my stock Evo. Now I have a catback and filter. Would it be worth getting reflashed?

When ever you change filters its a good idea to change the base flash - its only $100 to upgrade the flash and you can do it any time

I meant K&N drop-in filter. Does your rule apply to a drop-in filter also?

Holy Schnikes!! Dynoflash in my backyard. Big Al, I'm registering too, for the street class turbo 4 cyl. . Cordova Raceway(Cordova, IL) is like 160 miles due west of Chicago, just off the Misssissippi river. You can take Interstate 80 or the 88 tollway. Only about 2 1/2 hrs max from Chi-town. Anyway, if you or anyone else for that matter, needs a place to crash, I have a 3 bedroom house, 20 minutes from the track, just me, plenty of room. Otherwise, look forward to seeing you. P.M. me or give me a call Larry, @ daytime 309-762-1781, evening 309-794-0544.

AL, I would be very interested in a flash, but I am wondering what sort of gains I could expect. My mods are AEM intake and APS turboback w/testpipe (considering the fuel pump also). How much more power would the custom flash yield over one of your base maps. Either way put me down for one .

Also is there any way you can eliminate the CEL when running a testpipe?

By the way, theres a dyno/tuning shop near the racetrack called Illinois Dyno Center, there phone number is 309-523-9200. I've heard they do great work and people travel from all over for their services.

I would be interested in custom tune. I already have your basic flash; however, no change in mods. What kind of resluts over the basic flash could I expect?

There is a huge car to car variance in Evos

Therefore the base flash is always detuned at least 10 % to accomidate a wide range of cars

In MOST cases you can pick up another 10% power and also get a smoother power band with a full custom tune

However - in some cases you will actually loose power with the custom tune if the base flash is too agressive for your particular car - rare but it has happend - the trade off is its smoother amd more reliable

In every case - custom tuning and testing is the best way to go

Base flash is a bargian for $199 and gets great results - but it has its limits - thats why i sell them for $199 instead of $500 like the others

al! great that you're coming by!!

if i don't get cams installed before the 7th (i'm assuming this is the date you'll swing by?) is it really a big difference in tuning or will the custom tune w/o the cams still be pretty good? (i can do my own a/f tuning with the safc2 + wideband)
