Al Are you coming to NOPI in Bristol, TN?

Al,
I spoke to you a few weeks ago and you had mentioned that you might be coming to NOPI at Bristol Motor Speedway in July. Have you gotten any more solid information around your possible attendance? If so, I would love to make arrangements to get a custom tune from you as my car with the mail-in is running pretty rich right now (good and strong, but rich ). Also, I know others here who would be interested in a custom tune.

Congrats on the 11.14.

Al can you comment?

Al, can you comment on genearlly what we have to do? we have some questions here about the custom tune exactly a few posts back. I also personally am curious how you go about arrangeing one of these. Do you need a deposit on hand or what? If you could give some of these details, I think i can do a much better job of getting people together.

I just set an event up here in Tampa for Al. Once you have 5 guys in line have them all send a $100 PayPal deposit to Al's account and he'll be on the way.

What I did was gathered up names by starting a post in my local regional forum. Once I had a list of like 8-10 people I contacted Al. He then posted the event in the Dynoflash forum. Once the official Dynoflash post was up I had everyone send Al the deposits. He gauged response (we had a lot) and we actually booked three days to accomodate everyone. You gotta make sure everyone is serious though. That's why I was sure we had more than enough, so we wouldn't suffer from the ones that dropped out.

Here is the original thread I started..

Here is Al's official post..

Once you are definately a go for the event, make sure someone is keeping accurate records. That way everyone gets a spot and Al gets all his money. I kept an Excel spreadsheet and updated it as everyone paid. Had them PM me a date and time form the list and I locked it in.

As far as the symantics of the visit (where we tune at, where Al stays, etc.) he'll work that out with you on the phone.

If ANYONE needs any help with setting up an event like this please let me know. Al is a great person to work with and very responsive during the planning phase. I never felt like I didn't know what was going on, or what would happen. He's good person!

Al, if I've missed anything please feel free to correct me!

Good luck!!

I'd like a custom tune. If AL comes to Bristol I'll be on the list.
