Aftermarket induction pipe question

Al- where do you think the HKS RS or Buschur intake kit get's it's primary gain over the drop in filter & stock induction tube? Is the factory induction tube just crap? Or is it that both the tube is crap & air box size is to small??? Could you share your wisdom please.

Al, I am very interested in your input also. I want to use a Dejon induction tube for the stock air box along with a K & N panel filter.
