I'm almost ready...
I just odered my Walbro today and it should be here by the end of the week. I'll install it sometime over the weekend. I have a few quetions about what I need to do or what I can do before my reflash.
I have a Hallman MBC sitting in my garage now. Should I go ahead and put that on as well? What PSI do you guys (or Al) suggest I should set it at?
My mods are a HKS downpipe, HKS carbon-ti cat back, and a HKS racing suction intake. What do you think my wheel horsepower would be after the reflash? I have dynoed my car before on a Mustand AWD dyno, but it puts out lower numbers than a dynoJet. The guys with the dyno told me I should be making about 275 whp with what I have now. Does that sound about right with my mods?
I will be shipping my ECU out the week of the 28th of June while I'm in Myrtle Beach and that is all I'm thinking about. I'm more excited about the reflash than the vacation.
any answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated.

I would storngly suggest you get the ecu here as soon as you can even it it means walking for a day - OR take advantage or our rentral car reimbursement program
OR - drive the car OFF boost and very easy till you get the flash
I met a guy who was a personal friend of Shiv last sunday who was waiting to recieve his exede unit and get tuned in June sometime - he had an intake on his car and from what he was posting his engine failed a couple fo days after I saw him and his car at the car club meet - - - the point is - which ever tuning solution you plan to use - get it ON The car of bad things can happen with just the bolt on intakes and no tuning

How high are the EGT's suppose to get? My EGT gauge never goes over 1400. Is that too high?
I've had my car on a dyno and they told me my a/f and everything was fine. If I need to take it off til then I will. I've had this intake on since (cough cough) December.

Although your EGT's may not go over 1400, you may be running leaner than is recommended. Take the intake off until you can get proper engine management.
Might want to do a compression check, too, just to be on the safe side.

No doubt the EGT probe is not able to respond quickly enough to record th temporary lean spots at 3800 - 5000 rpms and then the rich spot on top cools it down
We have seen several people with blown engine through piston failure recently who had intakes with no tuning
No matter what tuning you do - eg SAFC, Exede, emanage, utec, etc etc etc - it is important to retune when you apply an intake
As for WHY your particular car is still running - - it has a lot to do with the ignition timing the stock ecu pulls in the middle when you have those lean conditions - this results in a weak trq curve and a rough power band
Obviously - the Dyno Flash corrects all these problems when you supply me with a complete mod list we can alter the a/f curve to match the intake

Okay...mods are HKS intake, HKS dowpipe, HKS cat back, Walbro fuel pump, and a Hallman MBC. Al what do you suggest I set my MBC to? I use nothing but 93 octane in my car.
I'm gonna either take the intake off or I'll just take it easy for the next couple weeks while driving it.
When you say it is pulling timing and what not wouldn't I notice a drop in power or the car run funny? My car was making more torque on the dyno than hp the lasttime it seen the dyno.
Anyways....thanks for the info.
