Superz does it again - big thanks !

After about 60 hard drag passes - I wanted to pull off the clutch and freshen up the disks

Also - I had a new tranny and transfer case from a 300 mile wrecked evo so i figured I would throw those in at the same time to go with the new rear diff i put in last week

Once again being in a time rush this week I decided to call upon the services of Gill a/k/a Superz who very thankfully is apparently back in the Evo clutch business - after all he did my clutch the last time and it came out perfectly

I got to his shop at 5:00 p.m. - he grasciously provided me his car to head over to Barnes & Noble to read some car magazines

Right after 8:00 p.m. my car comes around the corner working perfectly - new trans, transfer case, clutch disks etc etc all installed perfectly

It was real nice to drive my evo with a brand new drivetrain once again

And super thanks to Superz - the world's fastest mechanic for a fast job - a job well done - AND a job done very inexpensively

I 've heard so many positive things about gil and his clutch installs. It sounds like he has it down to a science.
I wish he would take some pics and maybe a brief write-up of some of the key points for those of us who cant afford to pay someone else to do this job. I'm gonna be tackling this job myself in a week or two and am starting to get a little worried about it. Hopefully it will go smoother than I'm expecting.

Trust me when I tell you - I did my clutch 4 times by myself

With the great prices Gill charges you are better off letting him do it. He is all set up with all the best equipement and facilities to do this job quickly and professionally.

There is NO way to gleam any of his talents from a write up - he basically does it the same way you or I do it. Its just that he has a lot of natural talent for fast mechanical skill and also he has all of the best equipemnt and tools moneyh can buy. No way to learn that ability - just like you can not learn to dance like Micheal jackson or shoot hoops like Kobe

My mechanical talents are more in slow and methodical working out modifying things and changing them over months. I am slow like a turtle and in my garage I have to get up and down from my creeper so many times on the clutch job I feel like i am ready to die after doing the clutch - its just not my bag. IF I had to do it I would - but thankfully I am close to gill

If the price was reasonable, I would drive to NY from DC and let him have at it if he was willing to do it. I'm just kind of in a money crunch so I figured a day or so of work would be worth the savings.

Thanks for the complements Al, hope everything works out and the clutch and tranny hold up to that beast of an engine you got there. Truth is that Im extremely beat up after that job!lol! It takes a whole lot of energy to do replace a tranny, clutch and transfer case in about 3 hours. Picking up the heavy tranny out of the trunk and onto the jack is tough enough! I have been asked plenty times for a how-to showing my way of doing this job. Truth is that I just cant stop every few minutes to take pics and point out things. I do the work in my job and I run on a very tight schedule. I have however never refused to help out anyone that needs a tip here and there on clutch work, a few can testify to that.

I will testify to Gil's willingness to help. Last winter when I was installing my clutch with one of the technicians from my dealership I sent him a pm asking his advice and dropped him my number, seriously like 3 minutes later he called me and solved my dillema.

Thanks again Gil!

If anyone is in need of clutch work or any other kind of Evo work just PM me and we'll see if I can help you out as best as I can. My biggest satisfaction is when I have a happy car and owner, and when people realize that im very fair when it comes to costs. I BS noone and that I will continue to do. Thanks to all for your support and thanks to Al for voicing his experiences with my work.
