Theortetically - yes

In practice - no - no want wants to spend an additional two or three hours of tuning time to recalibrate the fuel maps to accomidate VTA BOV's

Please - every one conisder a re-circ bov - thats what I have on my evo and I just made 554 whp

Which BOV would you recomend for excellent drivability and a max boost of 22psi ??

Any opinion on the MR re-circ valve?

I recently just installed a Dual Port BOV by Turbo Smart(Thanks, AL). All I can say is this BOV is IMO the only one that worked perfectly for my setup. No stalling, no surging, and is tested to hold up to 30psi. My only concern is how loud it is!!!

BTW, this setup is half recirculating(Plumbed back) and half VTA(vent to atmosphere). They do provide you a blank plate to block off the trumpet port. Maybe I'll try it if I don't get used to the sound.

To throw in one of the less popular choices nowadays, having recently installed a Forge Recirc DV the cars been running great, holds boost extremely well, minor fluttering issues but only when easing off slightly from full boost to Vac in 5th Gear which any valve somewhat stronger then stock would do. It also comes with a full spring and shim tuning kit.

So does this mean that if the car was tune with a VTA BOV it will run different if change to a recirculating BOV without retune. Just curious.

Thanks and I was referring to a custom tune. I guess I need to go back using a VTA then because I'm routing it back now and feel like the car does not pull as strong as before. I was the first blue EVO that you tune when you here for the AMS meet.

Thanks again AL.

IMO, its not loud at all. The stock plastic one was way louder than the MR. Installation time less than 5 mins. All you need is a 8mm ratchet and a screwdriver.
