Got flashed

I went on vacation and had a buddy ship my ECU to Al. I got home yesterday only to find my ECU and Walbro was installed by my buddy watching my house for me. What a bud. He told me Al wrote on some paper to put my MBC on which I'm doing tonight.

I drove the car yesterday and just on start up it seemed to run smoother. Went out for a drive and I couldn't really tell if it was faster, but I also don't have my MBC on. I did notice how smooth it went through the rpm's though. Felt very nice. I'm excited about putting the MBC on.

I only have one question though. Maybe someone or maybe even Al can answer it. Do you automatically tune the flash for a certain octane? I never specified what octane I use and I don't think my buddy did either. I run nothing but 93 in my car and was just wondering if that was what my tune was for.

Al I'll be dynoing my car within the next two weeks. Lasttime I dynoed it on Horsepower House's AWD Mustang dyno it made 233 hp and 236 trq with just the HKS rs intake, HKS downpipe, and carbon-ti catback.

Corey you have 93 octane flash can be used on 94 also

When you get the boost to 20.5 psi you will find more power - enjoy

I installed my Hallman lastnight. It took about 10 tries to get the boost right, but I think I've got it set right now. I have the Defi D-series boost gauge and I was spiking at about 22psi. It's kinda hard to get it just right on that gauge. Seemed to run really strong doing that, but I went ahead and turned it down. It seems to run even better at 20.5 psi. Does that make sense?

As for the flash? Al.....you are the man. I would love to get a custon tune from you whenever your close to my area. I ran my buddies bone stock Evo lastnight (3rd gear @ 50 mph) and put several cars on him pretty fast up to about the middle of 4th gear.

My car was the test bed for your flash (I have two other buddies that is interested as well) and I can honestly say that I think my car has sold both of them in giving you their business. One buddy has the same mods and the other is totally stock, but I think he wants to get the basic bolt ons first.

BTW.....al do you give any kind of discount on a custom tune if they already have a mail in flash?

That's cool. We have meets with up to 70-80 car up there every once in a while for our local car web boards. I'm taking it you race BMX or do you just love it that much you travel to watch it? I've rode the track several times, but never raced it. That was years ago though.

no, it's funny that people like you have nothing better to do than to go to every dynoflash thread and start trouble. if you have something to say, start a new thread and don't mess up other people's threads. you have been warned....

I see your point but why be negative? I mean if you have something to add that is either positive or negative from either your experiences, technical knowlege etc than this is feasible. But if someone comes on and sais "waste of money" or "piece of ****" .........you are really not providing any worthwhile info.

It will run best at 20.5 psi max as anthing ove that bost level is detuned for safey

If you set it right on 20.5 you will realize the most power on pump gas

Once you have the base flash then the custom tuned upgrades are $350

Thanks for the reply Al. I'll be on the look out for you to be near me once again. You plan on going to AMS anytime in the future? My buddy just started working there with those guys about two weeks ago and he was telling me all about it today.

Philly....what dyno did you use to get those numbers?

Thanks. Maybe I"ll have to venture up there when I get my cams and cam gears for the custom tune. I would like to see what my car is making on a AWD dynojet.
