Does Dynoflash hold boost to redline?

I'm getting a custom tune Dynoflash at the end of this month, but was wondering if I need a boost controller to hold boost all the way to redline? I'm currently running with Works P2 (with boost hose), so the ecu holds 20psi to redline. Does dynoflash work the same way?

Al can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK, the Dynoflash can minimize boost taper, but to eliminate it, you need to use an aftermarket boost controller (I recommend the Hallman MBC) to take the factory boost controller circuit out of the loop...the factory boost controller is a POS, BTW...

The boost hose from Works will work the same way with our custom flash - however we DO NOT recomend the boost tube - we prefer the Hallamn manual bost controller as you have a very controlable and adjustable boost level

Thanks Al, I'll try to find one and get it installed before the tuning (otherwise, I'll just have to stick with the boost tube).
BTW, I'll take the 11.45am spot on July 31st for custom tuning.

Al, I'm sending you a $90 check and shipping info for the Hallman Pro MBC. The check should be there in a couple of days.
Thanks

i would disagree i have a friend with a dynoflash and mbc and his boost levels +/-3 psi at any given time. i have a p2 and my boost is always right at 20.5 it never varies. which in my opinion is safer due to the fact that it never varies.

have your friend check all of the lines for his mbc, I used to have mine running to the wastegate and tapped into the vac line for the diverter valve with the turbo outlet nipple capped off and experience similar conditions, now that I have it running to both the turbo outlet nipple and the wastegate nipple it holds rock solid at 20.5 perfectly. not trying to argue hear, just trying to help. btw what is NTEC, I'm in Texas and am interested.

edit: also the boost really has nothing to do with the Dynoflash or vice versa as far as I know, what kind of boost controller is he running?

It never varies? Wow now thats a boost controller. So it goes right to 20.5 and stays there till redline? No boost taper?

While the boost pill restrictor mod trick can hold steady boost at certian operating conditions - the cars with it that I drove were suseptable to severe boost spikes on occasion in taller gears and full boot partial throttle conditions

Personally - i prefer a good manual boost controller - such as the Hallman pro which is really excelenet in every repeect and allows you to adjust the exact boost you want

At $199.99 for my mail in flash and $90 for the Hallman Pro - you still have enough money left over (compared0 to the Works P2flash to go out on the town and have a very nice steak dinner and a few lap dances
