got a question any ones opinion is fine.
I finally got my pistons in today so in the next week or two i will start rebuild my engine. pretty much everything but the crank. rods, rings, pistons, bearings, belts, headstuds, valve springs, retainers, cam gears, and get the head ported. i have not got cams yet cause i want the jun's or tomie and having trouble getting them. so i will get them as soon as i can.
What about valves? should i upgrade them or are the stock ones fine? Al or has any one else had a problem with them with the high HP they are running? just wondering because i saw a honda at the shop where i go with a valve that broke and fell in the piston camber. i dont want anything like that to happen he was NA and reved to 9k it did have alot of miles on it so it could have been age but i would rather be safe then sorry.
On a side note if any was stock EVO internals with 3k miles i give you a deal lol. I will post some pics this week end of the rods and pistons there the new pauter heavy wieght rods and the Aries pistons there sweet.
Al when are you gonna be back in the pa, md area? i asked you a while ago but they sent the wrong pistons the first time and the rods just showed up last week. alot longer then either company said but well worth the wait.
