Hot Import Nights experience - Boston style
Big props to my sponsor - Toyo Tires - its great to be a part of Team Toyo - not only do you get the very best tires in the buisiness at a great price but you also get to hang with some of the sexiest women on the planet - the Team Toyo Models and they hook you up with VIP treatment all the way
A little word on the RA 1 Toyos - which I use in 235 45 17 size (original size) - I ran 1,58 60' 3 times so far with them so they are much better than the stock Advans on the drag strip - they are also a purpose built road racing tire so the handling is second to none. Additionally the Advans are noisy as heck and these Toyos are just a smooth quiet tire on the highway - really. The wet weather handling is just as good as the stock ones and the wear so far has been great with about 1700 miles and no wear showing yet.
I paid $150 per tire and think they are the best tires I ever had.
On to the show - I was parked in center stage in the Toyo Tires booth - hard to miss me.
For those who havn;t been to one of thse shows - the girls are OUT of control
Import Tuner was there with this giant 80' x 60' booth set up like a military base and they were running a "Model Search" they had all the crazy young girls crawling up over boxes of ammunition and dozens of spectatotors taking photos every time the girls hidden assets would pop out from beneath her short skirt.
Personally - I would have a HARD (no pun intended) time trying to pick the best of the new recruits - apparently there is going to be some place you can go on line and vote who gets to win - I'll look into that
The highlight of the show was meeting up with RJ de Vera scoping out my Evo after I was already done scoping out his evo and spending some quality time getting to know him and hear about his upcomming projects. He is a super great guy and his Mom was there to help him and its easy to see where it gets it all from as she was just a great Mom.
Pepsi put on a really great show for everyone with dozens of hot young creatures that blew my mind pouring the new Pepsi Edge soda which i really liked - it was so good they ran out and only had regular Pepsi left
The Playboy Dj's sucked and couldn;t mix a beat if they tried but they sure had giant breasts and the dancers where doing the best they could to get everyone to forget that it was after all a car show
It was nice to have my evo there and expose it to so many new faces and people who dont even know how fast a evo can go.
Quite a few folks were suprized to hear that my car is making 545 whp - runs 11.1 on street radials, stock sized and that I drove it 3 hours to the show and back in holiday traffic without a hitch
Most of the cars at the show I guess ride on trailers like most of the cars at the track do these days also
Doesn't ANYONE actully enjoy driving their cars ??????
I'll be at another HIN real soon - it was a great show and a great experience
Thanks Team Toyo

Over all a fantastic evening and a really nice time. Only think thats bad is that my neck and eye ball mussels are very sore and over worked today after watching all that eye candy.
There was one girl there who had a skirt so narrow that it looked more like a belt - it was totally ridiculous

I had the chance to talk to the two guys who dreamed up the army like set for the contest - all I can say is genious !!!!!!
I asked them what does army and bullets have to do with girls or cars ?? They had no clue - BUT then it occured to me - getting into these girls pants is like WARFARE. . . . . its a tough job and it takes a lot of work and you have to fight off like 20 other dudes who want the same thing you do - - so maybe the military thing wasn't such a bad idea!
In any event - its a wild thing to watch as they have these girls going through the motions all night
HIN is the shiat !! - the guys at vision entertainment know what there doing. you were at the only place to be, the toyo booth. I think i have more pics of me and the toyo girls then i do of me and my girlfriend!! (begining Shameless Plug) if you like the HIN experience then you guys will love R-generation, the DVD documentary on the history of street racing and HIN. http://www.r-generation.com/#null (end of shameless plug). theres more of R.J. and his mom in the DVD.
Congratulations on the great show coverage and the networking skills. Sounds like you got some good attention and maybe the interest of some additional sponsors? to bad you guys don't get hot import daze out there.

BTW - the best energy and hottest spot at the show was the RIX booth - RIX is a great magazine and has some really nice artcles in there and its prnted in a very very high quality
Th Editor and CEO is a really coolguy - Rico - he has about 12 totally hot almost naked women jumping about his booth - it was completely out of control

The stock ones are vastly superior to the S-03 which is a step backwards
Between the stock and RA-1 - I would pick the RA -1 every day - the only possible draw back would be slightly increased wear over stock and the possibility that the wet performance MAY goes down a bit after they wear down - I do not know that part yet as mine are still almost new
BTW - shamless plug - I have one set used 235 45 17 Toyo RA 1 you can have for $325 plus shipping - they are in really good shape and nothuing wrong - I am just upgrading to bigger tires on account of my racing activities

Decisions, decisions, who cares about cars anyway ?
