saturday night after nopi

first of off, let me say that me and my wife enjoyed ourselves at nopi, expected a little more but it was still fun. i met AL at the excedy booth where his car was on show, loved his evo! after nopi we followed him back to the hotel where he was staying and met up with a few other evo owners who were getting base flashes. i enjoyed meeting everyone and they all seemed please with their flashes. i was the only custom flash he had that night, so he got everyone else done first so we could concentrate on the real work. shortly after he started on mine, he noticed the exhaust i had(ultimate-racing 3'' w/testpipe) and he broke the news that he couldnt do the custom tune. my 02 sensor wasnt in the right place for him to hook up the wideband so i was kinda bummed out. i think AL was as disapointed as i was and felt bad for me. after several appoligies some hardcore thinking he went ahead and did as much as he could. he smoothed out my powerband from bouncing around and i am satisfied for now, but cant wait to modify the exhaust so the custom tune can be done. AL was a lot nicer than expected, i wasnt sure what to think from what i heard about him. i enjoyed meeting him and im thankful for all his help. thanks al and i will be seeing you in orlando next month

kinda off topic: what do you need to do to make your exhaust to correct the o2 sensor placement. I'm leaning toward the ultimate-racing exhaust. how do you like it. It doesn't seem to be to loud. any comment would be appriciated.

the test pipe has a curve for the 02 sensor not to throw a cel, and it doesnt read correctly. ive got to plug that hole and cut another one on the catback for the 02 sensor to go there. where it is on the stock exhaust. i am satsified with the exhaust and i like the sound too.

I would suggest leaving your o2 sensor where it is currently positioned in the UR test pipe and just having a spare bung welded somewhere else in the exhaust, use the spare bung for Al's wideband o2 and plug it for daily driving. I run a RMR catback with the UR test pipe and that is essentially how my exhaust is set up.

My Ultimate Racing exhaust has a bung on the caback for the O2 sensor. I used the plug provided for that bung when I put the test pipe on.

Rebel, did you get just the cat-back or order the turbo back all at once? I would imagine if you bought just the cat-back they would have to have a O2 bung welded in place?!?

AND all the Atl Lancers, check the South East region forum when you get a chance. Trying to organize a gathering. Sorry for the off topic.

I ordered the turboback with a high flow cat at first, and I added the test pipe later. Unless they make each exhaust to order, they should all be the same though.
