In some cases - PARTICULARLY when dealing with 91 octane CALI gas we have had to tune slightly richer to get a detonation free tune

It still amazes me how crapy that cali 91 octane gas is. WEAK !

In your case I found a very good tune and totally deviod of knock with a slight richer a/F

11.1 - 11.0 / 1 is simply a guideline - when we are custom tuning I move the a/f around till find a good setting for the particular car and then we tune in a a margin of saftey

I can easly lean out your tune a bit - and with my compliments free of charge - however if you are running the same or similar octane gas you may start to see knock activity with a leaner tune and only a few more whp gains

Mine was street tuned at 11.1-1 on 91octane. Maybe the reason we didn't see any knock is because it was almost 1am and the weather was faily cool and humid. How do you know that it doesn't knock during the hot dry days? Is the stock ECU that good at adjusting for air intake temp diferences?

Even 11/1 is a very safe tune and leaves a big margin of safety, I love that even on a race gas tune I made a TON of power with only an 11.3 a/f ratio.

We know becuase I spent an entire year of my life every day tuning evos all over the USA and in almost every kind of climate and temprature condition

The base calibrations I use to do the custom tuning sessions have already undergone testing overthe past year - winter - summer - high altitude - 91 octane 100 ocatne - etc etc etc. We have customers now with over 30,000 miles on Dyno Flashes and no reported problems

(BTW - we find that cars run leaner slightly in cold dense air and richer in warmer air. Of course the stock ecu has temp correction compensation built in.)
