No gains from e85
haha, you are right!
Sky is the limit on E85... E98... Q16... or wherever you wanna go with higher octane fuel. But don't be surprised if you hit that threshold early on your basic bolt on mods. I'm jus sayin you're gonna hit a wall where you're going to NEED to free up some more air and increase the flow of your fuel to make even MORE POWA!

I called my tuner because I was ready to get a tune on e85. I told
Him my list of mods and he called back the next day and said that there would be no real gains from e85 on my car. I just wanted to get more opinions to make sure.
Mod list: MBC, TBE, upper and lower I/c piping, 10.5 hotside, evo IX bov, Megan o2 dump, walbro 255, and 1050cc injectors tuned at 24psi. He said there would be no real gains since I'm pushing the effeciency of the stock turbo and should steer instead on getting a new intercooler. Any thoughts?

You need to never go back to that joker as he has no clue what he is talking about and obviously has never used that fuel
I'm in Huntsville Alabama. So Mellon isn't too far away. Is my drivetrain still safe at what the new power levels may be? Assuming I'd be in the mid to high 300's? The car isn't tracked, and Hasn't been launched. I just want more power. Haha. But not at the expense of a few pulls tearing apart the drivetrain.
The trans in naturally a bit weak in higher gears so it's wise to eventually get it worked on at Shep, Buschur Engineering, or TRE. All these companies have excellent track records and competitive pricing on rebuilds or exchanges.

it's pretty common for 350awhp pump gas guys to get 380-400awhp on e85 even in the summer heat. Once you're car is making nearly 400awhp on pump gas getting big gains on e85 diminishes somewhat because the stock turbo is nearly maxed out already.
