Zeitronix e85 sensor install

So I purchased the Zeitronix e85 sensor/gauge kit for my Evo 9 and I am unsure of where the ethanol content analog 0-5v output wire from the Zeitronix harness goes to on the ecu? Any idea what pin I'm supposed to be tapping into?

[QUOTE=evoniners;11725126]So I purchased the Zeitronix e85 sensor/gauge kit for my Evo 9 and from what I have read in these forums is that pin 64 on the oem ecu is supposed to be used for the 0-5v linear ethanol content output wire. What I was not able to find is whether or not the 0-5v linear fuel temp output wire needs to be used since the ecu is already wired for fuel temp.

Are you using it to log or set up flex fuel or what?

I'm trying to set up a flex fuel map. From what I have read there is a patch you can install that allows your map to pull or add timing and fuel based on the e85 content. If you can add any input that would be awesome.

You need FiTronic for Flexfuel on the Evo 9.

Can you please elaborate on that?

From my understanding, if the ecu can read the 0-5v from the ECA, then it is a matter of having the rom with the flexfuel settings, rather than a fitronic kit. 0-5v is the same from a fitronic or zeitronix or any other ECA.

Yes, and FiTronic has the rom for the Evo 9 to allow flex fuel.

Ok then this is exactly what I am saying.

Why force people to buy a kit, when they can simply use an ethanol content sensor which is much cheaper than the kit. It is a matter of the ECU receiving the 0-5v from the ECA.

You sound like a smart guy, so by all means, engineer the rom for everybody.

You also can't just use the sensor, you need a translator to output 0-5v as the sensor itself outputs Hz.

Hahaha you got me there.
Like I said in my initial post, from my understanding, which seems to be wrong.

I thought it was as simple as the Evo X. Which I did flex fuel on, with the tephraxmod V3 by wiring the Zeitronix ECA 0-5v output to the ECU pin.

Here is what I mean.

If only we could get Tephra back working on the next version for the 8/9 ECUs and include a good flex fuel solution

Wow...pulling and advancing timing based on measured real-time E85 content?! Awsome! Been a while since I've been in the game, but that's great.

Hows the Zeitronix flex fuel sensor working out for you? i'm considering this setup to check the ethanol level at my station but saw a couple video online stating that the sensors dont actually measure ethanol but gasoline instead.

Buschur Racing test.

Other test.
