You guys need the most up to date 1.27.

More metadata files are in the more up to date versions. Remove them and reinstall the most up to date program.

I am getting the same issue. i have an 04 with Al's flash.
i initally picked inherited from the definition below and picked 94170008
well, i read the image and all my scaling for the octane and timing maps are screwed up, ie rpm reads 191.
then when i selected evo7base it gave me
adress f52
length 4 bits
identifier 96420007

and when i select that it asks me to input the rom info, like make, model and some ecu info.

now i uninstalled and reinstalled the software and picked 96420008 and the scaling seems to be correct. am i ok running on this number?

I thought 1.27.658 is the most updated version, but I'll try it again.

i also downloaded the updated rom data from malibujack and uninstalled and reinstalled the program a number of times, while also deleting the program folder.

You need to go under the Options menu and change the directory it's looking into.

Tried that and it's still asking for ROM info.

This seems to be a recurring theme. Did you change this, or did it somehow change on it's own? Or did you think that you needed to change it for some reason? I ask because people seem to change this option, and I'm not sure why. Perhaps it needs some descriptive help text...

No I didn't touch anything on it. It chanced on it's own. I had to load the program onto a desktop computer and I found the correct path for the Metadata Directory and then retyped it on my laptop. The only thing that I changed in the options was the user level to so I was able to see the immobilizer code. But yeah it changed on it's own.

the same thing happened to me, it happens when you are looking at the options, just exploreing to see what is what , when you select "metafile directory" and the the browse button with the dots on it, it automaticly defaults to the "C:\Documents and Settings\"user"\Start Menu\Programs\EcuFlash" directory if you dont reselect the proper folder

maybe somthing to address in the future

EDIT: next post shows pics
