Not up yet...

but POWER to you dude for coming up with this!!!

I wanted to start with a pre-tuned Ralliart ECU and go from there (rather than starting from a base stock normal EvoIX ECU), so now I'll be able to do so

I need to know if anyone has tried the tool, and had any success or failure.. PM Me here or on aktivematrix, let me know your results, and what version Windows (xp or 2000) your running..

I want to make sure the tool works, or I'm going to pull it offline until I'm sure its not something I'm doing. It works on both of my laptops and a desktop, but I don't have a locked ECU here to test it on, so I only know that its giving ECUFlash what it needs to be able to work..

Great job on another evo accomplishment, Malibu.

Now, I have a question and an idea. If you learned how to unlock maps, then maybe you can figure out how to lock maps. Yes, I said lock. Maybe if you can figure out an idea to lock the map and still make them editable, then Top tuners and Vendors might start selling E-flash style maps. Hopefully you could use the Immobilzer code to make the map car specific. maybe with something like that vendors wouldn't be so worried about sellin email style map.

Locking maps is easy, but easily defeated and therefore fairly useless to attempt. ECUFlash uses a bootloader that overrides the built-in boostrap code, once it gets passed initialization it will read anything..

A new rom would have to be created that is encrypted, and decrypts itself whenever its loaded, this is SLOW and impractical, or you relocate all the maps in different locations completely..

I am however planning on starting a opensource project to develop a brand new rom with standalone features to replace the mitsubishi rom..

Jack, getting a strange error. Something along the lines of "...to run this application must have .NET Framework installed... version 2.0.50727 ... contact publisher" Windows XP here.

Your running the old version of the .Net framework I am guessing. If you go the Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework directory do you see a directory called v2.050727? If you don't then you should get the new .Net from MS.

I am guessing Malibu Jack compiled the proggie with the new framework and it won't work with the old 1.1 or 1.0 versions.

Yeah Its using .NET 2.0 Unfortunately you dont have the choice to easily use an older framwork and didn't realize it until after I committed too much time to it. Typically I would have written this as a PE using Delphi.. But VS2005 is all I had available to me this weekend.
