Has anyone heard from Jestr/John?
It's been almost 3 days since I last spotted John on AIM and chatted with him on the M1 reflash that he was working on for my car. I'm not so much worried about him running off with $50 as I am worried that something may have happened to him.
Does anyone know if he's ok?

Ahhhh, okay. I completely forgot about that altogether. Okay, hope he's having a ball of a time. The guy deserves a good break
Thanks, I was getting worried sick about the guy.

oooh, I got my tune, and loaded it up within 5 minutes of getting it in the email.
Here's what I thought:
Start the engine, exhaust goes louder. Clutch in, engage 1st gear, apply throttle and car pulls out menacingly. I apply full throttle, head snaps back into the seats, jaw drops, switch to 2nd, wet my pants.
Here's what I got:
Start the engine, totally surprised. The exhaust sounds QUIETER. Clutch in, engage 1st gear, and I feel a bit more low-end but no growl (maybe I need cams for that). I apply full throttle, and the boost builds up quickly. No head snapping, but the power delivery has become so linear that it's actually amazing. Boost is now spiking to 1.4 bar (I need to go down for another run to see what it holds at), but it comes in so much more quickly and smoothly.
I'm guessing that John got back so much pre-boost power that the delta between being on boost and off-boost is much lesser, hence the surge feels less apparent. I've written him with some questions, but as it is, I'm very much appreciative of how soon he got back to me, considering it's been Thanksgiving weekend, and will keep everyone posted on how things go from here
John's a great guy to work with. Highly recommended!
