Ok real slow so even Scott can understand..... A data log "carrys" weight in the tuning world, so he is worth HIS weight in Data Logs... does that help you any Scotty ? LOL damn florida boys.

Anyway, thanks again Jack!

Good stuff Jack. Thanks for your contributions!
Geee, I thought uniloggers are NOT needed and not necessary for tuning Keep contradicting yourself Scott. You are a riot

If you have an LM-1 and the tactrix cable, you can already log ECU data and AFR, boost, and EGT data into one log via Logworks. MJ is starting with ZT2 and TurboXS because their makers have not come out with plug-ins to integrate Tactrix cable data into their software.

MJ is doing that for them and that is commendable.

sounds good, i'll have to check out Logworks. i would still use unilogger once it has support for LM-1 to support MJ.

FWIW, we'd like to see that too. That's why our free SDK, etc. came out long before any LogWorks plug-ins. It seemed more important to make it easy to integrate our hardware into other applications, so it came first. Bottom line, e just want to promote tuning, particularly die hard enthusiast tuning.

The ability to add channels, directly access channel/session data, and do dynamic charting is all going in to LogWorks, not to try to compete with other solutions, but to offer more options. If it helps someone get going on a budget, great. If it lets an enthusiast work on something of interest (ex. real time tuning) when they don't have the time or interest to write everything (logging, computation, charting, etc.) from scratch, great.

But there is plenty of need and room for other solutions, that is why we actively support 3rd party efforts as well.

Thanks, the TurboXS Tuner never gets any love, and its pretty accurate when calibrated correctly. The Zeitronix is also not widely supported at the moment.

The ultimate goal of my tool is to provide a useful flexible data aggregation, Would you believe the Unilogger Framework started out as a forensic data analysis tool I was writing that got mothballed. I decided to rework it a bit to work with realtime data, the aggregation portion is actually a plugin that uses VBScript within it, so it can be modified to do almost anything as long as the components it needs are exposed to it.

Zeitronix hardware showed today, just need a bench power supply for it and I can finish coding for it.

Utec and Tuner guys are getting some love..

Utec/Tuner features..

1) Intelligent Detection of Tuner and Utec, and even if you have both installed with a passthrough.
2) It will pass data back to Mitsulogger, additionally it logs the UTEC or the Tuner to disk, the passthrough will allow you to directly log from the Tuner even with the UTEC installed, or you can log the UTEC and it will pass the AFR and other data back to Mitsulogger logs..
3) SYNCHRONIZED LOGGING, Not only can you import data items into Mitsulogger form the Tuner or UTEC, but you have the option to log to disk at the same time, both logs will start at the exact same time.
4) Different sample rates don't phase the application, data will always be available to the fastest logging device, and not be slowed down by the slowest.

And finally...

The Zeitronix will follow shortly..

For the UTEC only guys, This will also be released as a standalone logger..

FWIW, because of how the UI's work for the tuner and utec, its probably the most difficult hardware to write applications for. Its just that I have experience with "Scraping" and automating serial terminal data from my forensics job.

Something like that, Data forensics and investigations, basically a computer detective, I work for a Financial institution now, but I'll be getting a PI license soon enough.

I think it gives me a unique understanding and view of data, I just have a "feel" for things that make sense, helps alot with tuning and programming.
