Here is my datalog on Evo IX!!!

This one was taken on 3th gear, I worry about the AFR but I'm happy with the number on dyno... 296.4 whp and 289 ft-lbs on 93 octane with halman MBC @ 23 psi, e-flash and K&N cone filter, no other mods. Comments pls....

12 and high 11 AFRs are too lean for my taste. Fatten them up for safety IMHO.

Although I agree its a bit lean, with his level of mods, and good quality gas, It shouldn't do any harm, but I'd definitely consider running it richer. It shouldn't actually impact your HP numbers much by running it at around 11.5 or so..

If you cannot be certain the quality of your gas will be consistent, then definitely richen it up. That is why we run the maps a little richer.

What about the knocks? Should I make richer the maps or revise the timing?

If your getting knock, then you want to add a bit more fuel, and then remove timing, its a balance as you would lose less power by adding fuel than pulling timing. Most of us generally get our desired AFR in check first, then work on the timing, then fine-tune the fueling again afterwards as altering the timing can affect your AFR (more timing, more complete burn, leaner AFR, etc..)

what would be the economical way to enrichen his whole wot map? or is he better off adding cell by cell?

It depends.. The easiest way would be to set the injector size a bit smaller, which would globally raise the IPW.. But it would depend alot on how good his fuel trims are already behaving as global changes will impact fuel trims.

He should follow his comfort level, and only make changes he's comfortable with.

You must have some high quality 93 octane gas in PR. I cannot even dream of running such lean AFRs on my car with 23 lbs of boost on the 93 octane mix that I use

i would def make it a little bit richer.... as mentioned above, mid-11s is a pretty safe number without losing power...if you lose...

...better run rich, than sorry...

Back when I still had my stock turbo, I found I would frequently run 23psi of boost and a pretty aggressive and lean tune on pump.. I never could explain why my car ran with very little knock so aggressively other than perhaps the gas I was using had a higher ethanol content than others, assuming it wasn't a mechanical problem on my car (bad knock sensor, which at this point I know is okay)

Although I could never recommend a tune like that for most people, its not unusual to see tunes like this when the gas is known to be good, and its less likely a tuner will leave that huge margin for error.

After some mods to the maps here is the new datalog that I got. But look on 4th gear, I only see 10s almost all the way from 5k rpm. Is that is normal?
