Another Log Review...

Here is a log I did a few nights ago...

One thing I noticed about the timing: Any change in timing, ie. if I add 1 degree anywhere, it starts to show 1-3 counts of knock, adding two degrees brings me past 6 counts and starts to pull lots of timing. One thing I noticed in my back to back logs, 1 count of knock is pulling timing! What the shizzle? I though 6 is what starts to pull timing. I have hard evidence that one count of knock is pulling one degree of timing in previous logs.. Is this right?

Would someone mind throwing this into DLL and showing a power graph for me, as I don't think mine is showing me the right numbers.. I used approx. 250lbs in the car (Me + a few things), the air temp is on the log I think, if not, it was around low 80's I believe, and the humidity was freeking rediculous. I am also running 245/45 R17's, which is an overall diameter of 25.3". I just want to compare what I am getting to what someone else get's because I think it is saying I have a lot more power than I really believe.

Applicable Mods:
2005 Evo GSR, 96940011
NO CAMS
27 psi on Defi Gage (More like 25 probably), Hallman MBC
LICP, UICP, Injen I/C, and Intake W TurboXS MAF Adapter & K&N
680's, Perrin Fuel Rail & FPR
Manifold, O2 Housing, and 3", No Cat, All The Way Back
All load maps rescaled to 300

I need to rescale the MAF as well, as that isn't done yet. Will be doing ASAP as soon as I figure out a few things about the rescaling thread. Notice my 2Byte Airflow values. Damn, turbo sucking like a champ I guess?

Anyhow, any comments, feedback, suggestions? I think I have it nailed down pretty good, but then again, I thought I did that to my girlfriend, but she said she wanted more after I was done, so maybe I don't have it nailed down just yet.

My bad, yeah, there is a fuel pump, I apparently was having a senior moment...

AFR's are in the middle 11's. Low 12's on spool-up.

Im definately no expert, but I would hazard a guess that you are right. The routine more than likely pulls timing for knock above a certain load or possibly RPM. Id love to know the actual numbers if they are out there, maybe someone here knows them. Of course if you are consistantly getting knock in that spot you know the solution (add one fuel). Your AFR looks good. I have come across the same problem when adjusting my AFR and timing....you encounter knock when you start adding timing at the optimum AFR. Its tough tuning in the hot sticky weather we are getting lately, but I suppose it makes for a safe tune. You are getting some nice loads, is that the stock turbo? I bet it's pulling nice.

Yeah, that's the stock terblow in there.

It's really surprising how this car pulls with the limited mods it has.

Beginning of last fall, on a Local mustang dyno she belted out 303hp and 300tq from the same mods, only less the fuel system stuff, and running 20psi.

I now have the fuel injectors, FPR and rail, and went up to I think around 25-26psi.

And, I have been beating up on a cammed 9's around town...

Is your datalog in 3rd gear or 4th? I put it DLL... it does not make sense in 3rd
When you let off RPM spiked so I cut the RPM data right at the last entry with TPS at 100%. The power graph was done using 3rd, your tire size, default evo weight and temp from the datalog converted to *C. In 4th power is 301

OK, pardon my ignorance, but where do you get DLL?

I am using the graphing in EvoScan.. Is DLL a separate program?

Hmm, the log was done in 4th gear...

I need to find out if my dyno on the Mustang was in 3rd or 4th.

Something doesn't make sense because I dyno's at 303 and that was 5 psi less than what the car is at now, and with the addition of an Injen I/C.. Something isn't really adding up...

yesterday using DLL with friend of mine whom has a 20g turbo and all supporting mods with 22psi he was putting 382 whp then we decided to crank the boost up to 25psi and we just barley leaned out the afrs but we use the exact same timing and the car put down 389whp this was with 3psi more so dont worry about boost we got to the conclusin that this car now needs to lean more its afrs and to run more timing but of course we can only do that with racegas
