And searching got me nowhere.
How do you "upload" a new map? Say you download the stock ROM from your ECU, how do you view and upload the new map? I mean a new map as in a vendor map in .hex format. Or edit it before you load it? I'm confused.

First thing after you download your stock map is to get your immobilizer code and save it various places so you don't lose it. If you do, then the car won't start (there are supposed to be ways to get around this other than the trip to the dealer but its best to avoid this up front if you can).
If you are just editing the map, you make the changes and then write back. If you want to put in a vendor map, you load that entire rom and write it back to the ECU (ensuring it has your immobilizer in it).
