so i've been fantasizing for the longest time about a cosworth 9 head on a 2.4 block in my light 8 chassis (vcd).
what's the ecu magic that has to happen? in my unfamiliar mind i'm still envisioning that the 9 ecu can run all the 8 functions minus stuff like intercooler sprayer (big loss there). am i right? or is this a wiring nightmare that should never be attempted?
i thot it'd be easy... not too many people doin' it.

so the pin outs are very different but functionally... the 8 will work, run and be normal like a normal 9 yeah?
now the pin outs, are we talkin' the ones on the ecu side or the ones on the engine bay harness side?
so you swap out the ecu with a harness too. and you try to rerun all the wires all nice and clean. then there's something with pins? or is that the end of the swap (mechanical engine stuff aside)
