noob to tunning/engine management

do i need ecuflash and evoscan? whats the diff with both? is both needed for reflashing/tunning? i have ecuflash downloaded already and waiting on my t cable. just wondering if i need evoscan as well? thanks in advance

ecuflash is for reading/modifing and flashing your ECU's ROM

evoscan is for datalogging.

you can try Mitsulogger as a free alternative to evoscan - personally I just use evoscan, its $25 which is cheap as hell for what you get!

The other thing you really really need is a wideband O2 setup, from Innovate or some one similar. Then you can tune your car with safety and confidence.
