strange problem with launch, thinking it is ecu related..
I was reading thru the nlts thread and noticed this users post...
Last time I was at the track, When I launched the car it was ok till 6k rpms (my 2step limit). Whenever it hit 6k rpms it just held similar to the quoted poster. Did this again in the other gears. If the car is sitting the 2 step works normally, bouncing.
I originally thought it was something with the clutch, as it is stock with some miles. It does not however "slip", even in the high gears/high rpms it has not slipped on me yet.
I am thinking that there is something in the ecu that is engaging some kind of function???
I will attempt to simulate it again today and get a log of it. Anyone have any ideas, or things to log??

So your saying that your stationary rev limiter works fine off the line, but its ALSO working through every other gear at 6K rpm? For that to happen, the ECU would need to believe the car hasn't started moving yet, meaning its not getting signal from the speed sensor. If its not that, it would have to be that the regular rev limiter and the stationary rev limiter are both set to 6K rpm.
If I am understanding you correctly, of course.

My stationary limit is 6k, my overall limit is 8100.

Yeah, or a tuning glitch (rich spot at that rpm/load spot). When mine knocks enough to pull timing it does something like that .
That quote IS refering to stationary rev limit. I noticed both the "valet" rev limit and the NLTS rev limit bounce as expected, but my stationary rev limit still holds an even RPM.
