98950010 datalogging higher load than the fuel map
98950010 datalogging higher load than the fuel map
This car only has an air intake right now, but datalogging shows load percentage in the 225 range. The stock fuel map load only goes up to 100. I am assuming that this is from the cold air intake. Am I right. And do I scale the MAF to fix?
Umm apparently this is on a normal lancer? Mind posting up the ROM or a link to it so we can see? I havent had one that worked yet so I havent taken a look to see whats going on.
Okay, so I looked and couldnt find that particular ROM but in answer to your question I took the liberty of rescaling the ROM for an 03 ES to show what you can do to maintain control. Now keep in mind I dont know the specifics of your engine so I just pasted in the appropriate portions of an Evo timing and fuel map (well my version of the fuel map). That aspect IS NOT GOOD TO GO. You will still need to use your tune based on your logs and mods. Here are the screenshots to give you an idea of what to make it look like:

Without getting deep into the advanced aspects of tuning, one thing I would change is the area on the RPM axis of the ignition map and make the higher resolution where the boost hits rather than down at idle where it doesnt do any good.

Rescaling
Thanks, I understand rescaling the map. I understand that, the vehicle is an '02 Eclipse 4g64 n/a manual trans. I am turbocharging it soon and want to get the engine management worked out. The current fuel maps only go to 100 load. While data logging load was approaching 225, how can this be. I will upload the rom soon.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Please disregard this thread, I looked at the datalog again today and realized that I misread it. Everything is as it should be. Thanks for the info johnbradley I really appreciate it. I had made up maps very similar to what you did and am glad that I seem to be on the right track.
However, is it possible to extend the fuel and spark maps a few more load points?
